T&R’s lawyers have participated in diverse energy and natural resources transactions, spanning oil and gas, mining, renewable energy, and the power sector. Our involvement includes acquiring working areas in oil and gas and mining, providing day-to-day business advice, securing financing, and facilitating major corporate actions like share acquisitions or working interests.

Projects milestones

TR&Co. acted as legal counsel for PT Energi Pasir Hitam Indonesia (“Ephindo”), a national company specializing in coal bed methane (CBM) operations, in which we provided comprehensive assistance in various critical transactions related to Ephindo’s CBM business, including negotiating the joint operating agreement for the operation of Ephindo’s CBM block, joint venture agreement with its shareholders, and documentation for bidding of the CBM working areas.

TR&Co. represented Harita Group in advising and negotiating in the sale of its shares in PT Tri Wahana Universal, an oil refinery around Cepu area, to Saratoga group.

TR&Co. represented PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur in negotiating the Natural Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement for the supply of natural gas to its plants, including Kaltim-1, Kaltim-3, Kaltim-4, and Kaltim-3. We also addressed any legal issues arising from the implementation of these agreements.

TR&Co.represented a consortium comprising PT PLN (Persero) and a private power company in the procurement of a 16″ underwater gas pipeline connecting Batam Island to the underwater gas pipeline facility from Singapore. Additionally, an alternate gas pipeline was established, connecting Batam to the gas pipeline system in mainland Sumatera, operated by a subsidiary of a state-owned gas transportation company. This gas pipeline system was implemented under the BOT (build-operate-transfer) scheme involving multiple private entities. The pipeline serves as a critical solution to address Batam Island’s gas supply shortage for both the power plant and industrial needs.
