M. Husni Thamrin is the Founding Partner and Managing Partner of TR & Co., and member of Capital Markets Legal Consultants Association. Mr. Thamrin’s practice includes capital markets transactions, general corporate, corporate finance and secured transactions (domestic and international), investments (including foreign and domestic investments), banking, energy and power, oil and gas, mining, property and real estate transactions, corporate reorganization (including merger, acquisition and consolidation) and privatization.

Practicing extensively in corporate and commercial law, Mr. Thamrin has developed significant expertise in Corporate Finance and Secured Transactions, Corporate Reorganization (including Merger, Acquisition and Consolidation), Oil & Gas, and Privatization. In addition, he provides advice on an on-going basis to a large number of private and public companies and also to State-owned Enterprises, such as PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur Tbk, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja and PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda with respect to various transactions including EPC Contracts, Off-take Agreements, etc.

Mr. Thamrin is also well-known for his expertise and vast experience in fully assisting clients in completing various projects (recently, a complex of factories for urea and ammonia). Not to mention the delivery of various legal services in project financing, Mr. Thamrin has detailed understanding of technical terms/concepts which are substantial for highlighting full (legal) exposures under EPC/M contract for protecting the best interests of either project owner or contractor. Given his years of experience, Mr. Thamrin handles clients with a tailor-made approach, ensuring TR & Co.’s clients are well-served regardless of size & status, either they are private companies or major multinational or State-owned Enterprises. Mr. Thamrin also leads TR & Co. in assisting the Republic of Indonesia in several issuances of Sukuk & other sovereign bonds and the implementation of a massive international grant program.

Mr. Thamrin obtained his Master of Laws degree at the Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London, United Kingdom, upon completion of his Law Degree from the University of Indonesia. Mr. Thamrin is a registered capital market lawyer of the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) and a registered advocate of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI). He speaks both of English and Indonesian.
